Dynamic Duo

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

We as believers must stick together. We cannot let the enemy separate us from one another. We, followers of Christ can be very dangerous to the enemy if we stand strong and stand together. Just like any other army, we cannot be scattered. We cannot afford to be scattered! We have to be strong enough to be a light for non-believers but beware of how much time with the world is consuming you. We are strong in numbers in the Spirit. We must encourage, we must love, and we must stand and fight for one another. Our spiritual army must be willing to pray for one another, be concerned for one another and keep each other sturdy, pick one another up when we lose a battle instead of insult and rebuke them. The enemy will try and separate us. Satan will use any means necessary to destroy our securities and keep us from growing in the Spirit together. We must be on our guard against this tactic of the evil one. For weeks, a brother and I were planning to get together for a simple lunch. It seemed as everything possible that could pop up and hinder us from meeting was happening. We kept planning a day to meet up and finally it happened. We had a wonderful time together. All we did was talk about out lives, where we were spiritually and encouraged each other in this battle we are in. We both left that restaurant restored with Spirit and faith and ready to get back on the front lines. Later that day I was thinking about how many spiritual battles I had lost since the time my friend and I started planning our lunch together. It was numerous. It became clear that the spiritual forces of evil (eph 6:12) were preventing this meeting. The enemy does not want us to meet in the name of Jesus Christ. Why? Whenever two or more are together in the name of Christ, Christ is there, that’s why. My friend and I are now stronger and more filled with the Spirit, just from spending this brief hour together. The enemy hates it and I love it! Is this happening to you? Have you lost contact with a fellow follower? Take the time, make the call, send the text and meet up. Have a coffee, have dinner, or have a beer. Whatever! Just meet up and pour it all out to each other, encourage one another, you cannot fight this battle alone. God put certain people in your life for a reason.
